IX gt3076r maxed out?

Setup:
built 2.0L
ams exhaust manifold
gt3076r BB Anti surge housing .63 stuck with it unless someone still has a 5 bolt .82 kicking around.
id 1000's
1100cc+ worth of meth (2 jets solenoids no check valves)
3 inch exhaust/ams downpipe 02
Built head/springs no port work with GSC S1 cams
buscher ported intake mani/tb
Made 500whp on dynojet numbers 424whp on mustang dyno#'s
I am wanting to get 75whp more mustang dyno
Revving out to 8500rpm I am only losing maybe 20hp from 7300-8500rpm suspected the S1's would hold me back more but pleasantly surprised to see them holding this well up top.
Spiking 30psi holding 28 to rev limiter.
I do like my fat powerband from 4k-8.5k it's pretty flat and would like to keep it that way.
Trying to decide whether I should accomplish my goal with a gtx3076 or for roughly the same $ I could get a bigger cam and send my old gt3076 to be modded to a HTA3076. Is keeping the .63 turbine going to be worthwhile for either of these?

Which route would you chose and why?
Will try to get a dynochart up tomorrow night.

Hello,

I been asking myself the same question...

I have a IX with the Following:

Built 2.0L: Supertech Pistons; Manley H-Beam Rods; ARP Mains; Ballance Shafts removed, etc
GSC S2 "274" Cams; Cosworth valve springs & retainers
T3 Turbo Kit ; Garrett 50 Trim BB Turbo; 4inch Anti surge cover
Cooling Mist Water-Alky Inj

I am at about 480whp Dynojet...

Keen for more HP to take advantage of the built block but dont want too much more Lag... So options are in order:

HTA3076R >> GTX3076R >> GTX3576R >> GT3582R >> HTA3582R >> PTE6235R >> GTX3582R >> HTA3586R >>

The turbo I keep coming back to, in terms of extra 100HP and minimum loss of spool is:

GTX3576R with a T31 4bolt .63 for a direct swap...

wont sacrifice too much spool but has extra 100HP+ potential.

regards
Sal

I'm liking the 3076gtx myself but just wondering if i wont get the extra 10 lbs/min flow if i stick with the .63 5 bolt o2 housing. Starting to wonder if headporting is the real next step rather than a new turbo....

0.63 5 bolt is half the restriction. The most I have seen a standard 3076 make is 582 and that was a 10:1 aluminum rod motor on e85. One of our 9:1 2.0L on E85 made 557 but it was a bigger housing, SMIM, and larger cams. Both those cars were 34psi dropping to 29 as well.

Bigger cams and a .82 housing. Peak power was at 7000rpm which in low for that turbo IMO. It needs to breath....

With some touching up peak power is now at 7700 and revving it out to 8700, car likes to rev with these puny cams i'm surprised.
Dont know whats holding this setup back but 1g dsm's are making 70 more torque than me on a ****ty 50 trim and 450whp vs me struggling like crazy to get 425 with a way bigger BB turbo.

Apparently turning the boost any higher didn't generate more HP so i'm scratching my head as to the limiting factor here..

The shop says they have had 1g dsms with the same turbo and housing make 515 mustang whp vs my 424. However they do have more porting and SMIM. I really do want to keep my powerband without going to a bigger housing Plus a .82 in 5 bolt t3 is a PITA to find.

Looks like back pressure pre turbo
I'm coming from the VQ35 forums 350z/g35 and we have sean the same problem with gt35r . People couldn't make over 550whp due to restrictive tuebine housing.

Here you can order the .82 ar housing
