in regards to the radioshack / gigaware serial to usb, it works fine if you install the drivers properly onto the computer. prolific works well also and cost 10x less $.

id go with the prolific chipset for the serial to usb since it is way cheaper and works just as good.

1.3u is what most want, so thats what i stock and sell. most people like flashing within ecuflash, so i give them the ability to with my cable.
Haha, thanks Tom! I was just looking at adapters last night. Glad this one is half price. We'll be in touch soon on a couple tunes

Hey tom I know this is a little off topic but do the "new" 1.3U cables including the licensing so you can run the newer versions of eCuflash? I had major problems with my old 1.2(for subarus) and 1.3u before hand and could not run the newer ecu flashes, and this was before you could flash with evoscan so I was running two different version of ecuflash making changes with one and flashing with the older version, was a pain in the ***.

yes the ones on my website work with all versions of ecuflash and are licensed for it.

Wear out? I'd shoot them an email about your issues/ complaint.. No reason for you to buy 3 of them from normal wear and tear, unless your just "rough" and unusual with it.. Lol

well Im not rough but some of the drivers can kinda be when Im riding passanger. There knee can hit it, when they get out the car there leg can get caught up in the cable etc etc. Ive been using the current one for about a year and since I do subarus and mitsubishis it gets used alot. But subaru guys ALWAYS hit it getting underneath there dash connecting the green plugs(test connectors)

if that's of any help to you

I heard you can drive with a 2.2l engine on a 2.0l tune, not going WOT and on the road to your tuner that is, doubt having no 272 cams can be worse

had S1 268° for a year on a 100% stock ecu, no problems whatsoever, car ran great actually

i also drove for a long while with 10 even 9s afr no problems either, 9 is what you get going WOT on a 100% stock car anyway (at least mine lol)

about the USB wear, that micro-usb whatever is weak but it's not tactrix fault I have the same problem on my mp3 radio, you should try the autolog feature of the 2.0 it's great ! I can't get the LC-1 to log (firmware problem?) annoying but you don't need to log afrs all the time anyway, autolog = you just plug the connector and start the engine and it logs on a SDcard (or you can choose triggers) no cable no problem

yeah but Im tuning other peoples vehicles not my own, Im going to buy a 1.3 anyway with the pin removed Ill just use the 2.0 for subarus.

And to comment on your first piece of information, "technically" yes if hes on stock injectors and a stock MAF he will be "ok" partial throttle in my opinion to drive to his tuner. Only issue is going to be his idle with cams. But its a MAF car "technically" if your injectors match your scaling you can throw on a gt35r or a td04 and it will still "run ok" lol. Hell look at the DSM guys with SAFC's or that ghetto Jim wolf crap they use for nissans. But its very "blockish" in the mapping. Nissan guys do that **** all the time. Theyll take a bone stock SR20 throw a turbo kit on it, match the maf with the injectors that are "scaled" in the jim wolf ecu and run some random *** turbo that wont max out there injectors and "BOOM" there done as is there partial throttle drivability
