congrats on getting it running and tuned. that is for sure a 10 second car. just drop the 60 foot .10 and your there haha. once you get the fuel system fixed and can crank up the boost your talking sub 10s with ease. congrats. glad it all panned out for you

Thanks Dan. So far in mid 80 degree weather the temps are still normal so I think my cooling system is up to par which was one of my biggest concerns.

Thanks! Btw, I'm uploading a video to YouTube right now which I will post here when it's done. Perhaps somebody can help me identify what is causing these noises I am hearing coming from my car.

They definitely help low end. the car has really good response downlow and the spool was awesome for a 6466. some people don't realize a 6466 is a big turbo, it is a equiv of a 37R. (3788R)

I don't know what you're asking. with a bigger valve opening its going to move more air and exhaust gases taking further advantage of the longer duration no? so they are working together. with a 2.4L and this turbo i think a 1mm over valve is not a bad idea. I am not an expert with heads though so i'm not going to act like i know what i'm talking about fully.

Are you saying that you feel there is no need for a larger valve than stock? if so i have been told that by a few others also.

Well i didnt drive the car or get to feel it so i cant truthfully answer that without actually being in the car and comparing s2 to r2, but it would seem like the r2 are like s2's downlow, and then uptop they are almost as potent as s3's so its a cam thats the best of both worlds.

Its hard to tell that data since we're using evoscan and 7968RPM is the cut off logging limit for 1byte rpm, so we would have to enable 2byte rpm (which i refuse to do since its not accurate and results in inflation), but i am willing to bet it doesn't fall off ever in his powerband. The R2 are almost like a s3 uptop, and we both know the s3's are badass cams.

I teched in at about 8:30, got in line and made my first pass ever with this setup at 9:30. I had NEVER launched the car at this power level before but I still managed a 11.3 @ 133 spinning hard through first and second with a 2.0 60'. Next pass was an 11.9 @ 129 because I missed second. The next pass was an 11.4 at 132 and my final pass before the track closed was an 11.1 @ 133, both with 1.9 60'. Traction is a huge issue as I have continental dws tires on factory pressure. I couldn't drop pressure because my gauge ran out of batteries lol. Track prep is awful on Fridays, no traction compound whatsoever. The car spools like a beast! Full boost by 4700 rpm on a turbo this size is no joke especially considering I'm on a non ported head, stock IM and stock TB. I couldn't be any happier with how my car runs and I cannot wait to get some better tires and upgrade my fuel system. More than satisfied with Toms tune and I would recommend him to anybody. Also fwiw, another forum member on here was indeed riding along with me during the VD pulls in case anybody was wondering.
Thanks Taylor awesome review and I appreciate the kind words! Reviews like this and results are what make me really enjoy doing this as a main career / income. I do nothing else but this and i put a lot of time into customers cars and make sure the customer is fully satisfied and is happy with the outcome.

Thanks again for choosing me to be your tuner!

FML...How the **** could it be blown already? Improper installation? Less than 1k on everything, freshly rebuilt...It's important to note that it was doing this before I raced as well but I noticed it got worse on the way home from the track.

launching is the main culprit. as well as that clutch you have chatters and that is hell on those bearings!!!! but mostly..... inferior design!!!!

Son of a b!7ch. Do I have to pull the whole engine or can I just pull the trans to replace it? How much does that thing cost? Btw I never even launched the car before last night..
