MAP 2.3L FP Black DBB GSC S3 93oct 29.7psi

Sharing Dean's results on my old FP Black DBB. My FP Black was converted to a Garrett CHRA a year ago before FP introduced a BB solution for the FP Black. This turbo has seen 50psi boost spikes and is now still spinning almost 2 years later on one of my customers cars. Owen Developments does amazing work to say the least. Now that FP provides BB direct, there is no need to outsource this kind of service anymore.

I've tuned Dean's car on a stock turbo and now the FP Black. Next after this will be E85.

Mods are:
Evo 8
MAP 2.3L wiseco / manley turbo tuff
Ported & Polished head
FP Black DBB (Owen Developments / My old turbo)
GSC S3 cams
ETS upper & lower IC pipes
ETS 3.5" FMIC
Invidia o2 housing (my old one)
Tial Qr BOV
Perrin 3" Exhaust w/ STM inline muffler (plus 3rd Magnaflow muffler mid section)
FIC 1450 injectors
Buschur double pumper
FIC fuel rail
FueLab AFPR
Grimmspeed 3 port & mbc
TSComp 4" SD Intake
Tephra v7 Speed density /w hybrid

Temps outside were 43F.

Cool pic of Dean's car with my stickers on it :

I'm surprised with a ball bearing black on a stroker it's taking so long to get to full boost. Looks like it's getting there about 4300 or so. I would have thought it would have came on a little quicker than that...

Its 93 octane and the pull was started way late. If we start the pull earlier in the RPM's it will hit full boost a lot sooner.

Its also not a mivec head. with my 2.3 (non mivec) and fp black with kelford 272 i had 33psi by 3800RPM in 3rd. This car has 280 s3 cams though also.

Im working on getting magnets for the side of the car so people can put them on during big events and remove them afterwards. I haven't fully checked into it yet, but will do soon. Needs to be non abrasive and paint friendly and so forth of course.

Those who want the sticker version I will sell though. Its 3m reflective vinyl like on police vehicles. They are very cool.

Compression is 9.1 if I remember correctly. I'll pull my receipts.
