Very encouraging results. I'm a bit surprised that the boost plateau isn't hitting until about 4300 rpm. Is this a single scroll 7163? Remind me of the A/R? Pump gas?

this was only 6 pulls- from putting the car on the dyno-

more tweaking could improve results- just wanted a comparison up-

.85 IWG- 93 octane!

.85 would be the single scroll, correct?

Would love to see how this compares to a BBK-B car down the road (when Curt has more data).

we will be posting more shortly- actively testing some different setups-

the EVO X previously mentioned just made 438whp/338wtq at 26.5 psi- after we upgraded from the stock airbox and ic pipes- to our 3" intake, and hard charge pipes- thats 70whp more than this car made on our stock housing turbo last year- with same bolt on mods- pretty awesome-

it bested our 3076R tial vband kit- with better spool-

The evo 8/9 stuff is exciting-

Do tell. I am hoping for a twin scroll 7163 option.

right now we are testing single scroll options due to packaging- and the results on the X platform were very promising in single-

we can do anything really- but we are testing to see the range-

may bolt the smaller one on also

To clarify the comparison in my mind, is the BBX-Lite, the stock housing turbo that you refer to above?

This is exact Details:

Same car- in test

Previously- CBRD exhaust, CBRD fmic, CBRD ic pipes, CBRD 3" intake, CBRD BBX lite ball bearing ported, CBRD tubular manifold, AMS Downpipe, 880 injectors stock cams etc

Now- RB-X 7163 kit, CBRD Exhaust, CBRD fmic, stock ic pipes in first test, stock airbox in first test, 880 injectors, stock cams etc

then switched to - " " " " with CBRD pipes, CBRD 3" intake again- picked up 2 psi immediately, then retuned- at same boost, and made 438whp- which is about 68-70 over the bbx full at close to the same boost pressure-

this is weaker EVO X- always has been- it was my personal car- was always one of the lower powered X's with mods- now its one of the BEST pump gas EVO X' ever on our Mustang Dyno

Am I the only one less than impressed? 26psi and 300tq is after 4000rpm. Granted I am not familiar with EVO X but on an 8 that's OK if you're making 600 or so but to only make 440whp and 340tq isn't all that much. How much will this kit do Max power?

This is VERY impressive on a X on our dyno-

keep in mind- all of our plots are generally in 3rd gear- on a short ratio trans- 440whp on our dyno with stock cams, these mods etc is exceptional-

4th gear picks up about 500 rpm or so on spool- the overlay with the bbx lite (which was proven to basically be one of if not THE fastest spooling stock housing turbos)- shows the comparison very well-

We will be posting the evo 8/9 7163 setup shortly- it is currently bolted to our current generation tubular LMP manifold setup for comparison- on a car that was running a 3576R- and will also be run on a 2.2 CBRD block car that had an FP red on it-

Shortly thereafter we will be posting up info on the new manifold- with shorter equal length runners and smaller tube diameter with the same setup-
