I guess I missed that part of the thread

I hope Chad has another twin-scroll bolt-on option in mind...I do not want to go T3/T4.

I guess, a stock location 7163.

Why? Well the 7163 is one of the hottest EFR turbos atm. It arguably outperforms the 7670, and is the only true gen 2 offering with mixed flow technology. Basically, the 7163 is "the new hotness" for fast spooling, 60 lb/min flowing turbos.

The main criticism of the 7163 is its lack of housing options. T4 twin scroll is only available in .80AR IWG configuration. With its housing size & IWG location, fitting it to an Evo is almost unheard of.

Since I just don't see CBRD releasing a non-twin scroll turbo, or a slow spooling turbo, something in the ~60lb/min range just makes sense. So if they can figure out a way to make it fit the evo, they will have themselves an instant winner.
My guess was the 7163 too. Although I am thinking a 6758 might be a better fit for the Evo 8/9.

Maybe they will make an adapter piece that can bolt up to the stock manifold.

sorry guys- we are just overwhelmed here- developing kits on the X, 8/9, GTR- and our current workload- doing the best we can-

3 people can only do so much hee he- ill post info as soon as we can - the EVO X kit took precedent because we are seeing more of them through the shop currently- and we had some clients that were really pressing us for something new- so that is being buttoned up- and we will release the other info-

the EFR setup on an 8/9 is running in some road race events- shortly- and we will have feedback on that also!

...
7163 should be able to make as much power as a 3B/Red and have better transient response than a BBK/71HTA.
