[QUOTE=whtrice;11767853]My old ride ..... about as to the left as you can get. MAP 2.4 L on E-85 and with a FP OG green (6 years ago) Mustang Dyno for reference:
When I was choosing between the green, red, black it seemed to me like the green came on quickly but then the TQ dropped out quickly. Its a smaller turbo so that makes sense.
The greens turbine wheel in the MHI housing is on the small side even for a 2.0 , its even more backpressure limited on the larger engines. The SS housing lowers backpressure is better suited for a stroker.
If the goal is for max spool up the green can do it, but its going to be limited up top and create heat with an MHI housing.
Extreme backpressure is also harder on the engine, valves, bearings and can create knock if the exhaust can't get out of the chamber fully.
OP, the pull looks late but if the tuner left it soft for pump gas thats a safety net. Running Ethanol is alot safer on these cars since we all want big numbers . In your case it will also safe gaurd more against knock with the larger engine/smaller turbocharger.
yeah guys i agree with all you are saying, not only my power band should be hitting more early, but tq should have been almost as high as hp seeing its a 2.4 maybe i need another tuner lol . I am about to take my car back to the track see what i run ,hope to break my last run of 12.0 @ 113 mph. Still keep remembering tuner told me he tune the car as if it was a stock evo seeing he didn't know how well the motor was built. My motor is still in one piece so if i don't get a better time my next trip to the drag strip turning this thing up.
460 on 93 isnt much to scoff at... should be nice, but honestly it sounds like your tuner doubts his own abilities. If the car makes this number with little effort there is no reason to doubt the build of the engine
