I actually run a Buschur front cross member myself now, evodan is right; it does save more weight.

I have a tiny two-car garage myself, but there are plenty of places under the front of the car to use as jacking points other than the OEM cross member.

NOTE: Don't let any dyno operator strap the front end of your car down by hooking into the lightweight Buschur cross member's tow loop, from the sides... it will bend! You can get around this problem by running the tiedown straps up and over the Buschur bar, behind where it bolts to the bumper beam with the two front bolts.

Yes, absolutely, I'd think a dyno operator would need his head examined to strap a car down by that loop! I've seen operators tie them down by the rear hook under the spare tire too!

We run an axle strap over the bar between the mount and radiator, two of them, when we strap the cars down. I also never jack my car up by the front, I jack from the jack points on the sides.

I would jack from the jack points on the sides but my current, 1 car, tiny *** garage, has so little room on the sides its pretty much impossible to do that...

I have plenty of room in the front of the car & obviously the back when the door is open...

Ahhh...I just had my headlights out (non HID gsr). I could have weighed them for you. Maybe Friday if you remind me I can pull it back out to weigh it for you.

I removed my aftermarket HID ballasts (ebay specials) and am going back to normal non HID 9006 bulbs. Saved 2.0 lbs
