Thanks to Fred (oneguy), I was able to order a plug to cover the hole, its covered here somewhere, its a simpler and easier way to do it, IMHO.

Also, per Mitsu dealer here, Evo glass is different from Evo glass and is thinner - They could be wrong but when the windshield on my old IX MR broke, the evo glass cost twice as that of the Lancer - It was 2xx and 6xx for the Evo glass. They replaced mine with the Evo glass under warranty. Mine cracked going up a driveway - UNG!

just pull it and put a rubber grommet to fill the small whole.

i had my evo front windshield glass replaced with lancer glass. i put both on the digital scale, the weight difference was less then a pound, although i don't remember off hand what the actual weight was. i know it wrote it down somewhere....

I had some Lancer glass here, I don't recall the exact difference but I sure remember it being quite a bit heavier than the EVO windshielf. I'll search my notes and see if I can find it. A pound wouldn't be worth the additional cost of the EVO glass.

That car that is cut up, WTF did he do that for? Was it wrecked?

David - Yes, gtride (member name on evom) owned that cut up car. It had landed on its lid bad and was destroyed. That car was stripped to the frame and parted out...

He bought 2 crashed Evo's and put them together to make one sweet Evo.

Quote from JERRY on Norcalevo.net forums

He buys cars from auctions, put them back together, and sells them. This was a project for himself, so he was just playing around with left over parts to ge the car running and have some fun. Yes, he's just doing it for ****s and giggles, dont take this seriously.

Still pretty funny though. I believe he got a totaled car from an insurance auction.

You will need to take it somewhere and ask them to remove the refrigerant and put it in a vacuum state to get rid of all of it. shouldn't cost too much since you will not be putting any back in. Though the refrigerant now is a lot less harmful than before, you still should not crack the lines. Plus it will get all over your engine compartment and muck everything up.

Blue Evo 8 - My car is not much of a daily driver, sir. Its a track ***** with cage, no sound deadening, lots of other non-friendly items like full motor mounts, diff eliminator brace etc - its noisy, rough and truly designed for one purpose. So, I see no point in keeping it on the car. Might as well go all the way. Some day, I'll post pics, I suppose.
