Tweeter removal

Anybody have a good method of getting the bottom screw out of the factory tweeters? I can't seem to get to the little bastard.

Good post. I'm wondering more about this too. Not to steal your thread but whats the best method for cutting out tweeter spaces in your gauge pods? Also whats the best method to put it on your gauge pod? Some glue maybe?

I mite have used a scewdriver (right angle driver). Just make sure you get the bit in there good and twist slow and steady and it should come out.

Right angle bit or oxy/acetylene torch.

They make little allen wrench chapped screw drivers. Just get one of those. Or take the dash out, thats pretty easy.

It's been a while since I took them out but I am pretty sure I just used a shorty philps. It was still at a weird angle but I was able to work it out.

Interesting Sidenote: I made new custom tweeter mounts for my Infinity
Reference 1011t's out of a wedge of wood glued to a cutup pastic bucket

You wouldn't happen to have a pic of you custom mount? I am trying to figure out the best way to get my tweeters in there.

Does anyone make a kickpod that fits our Evo's? Never really searched to hard for it but they sure do make a difference in SQ in a car.
