Blue vs. Red on Alpine 9885

I'm finally getting around to posting these pictures.
I replaced my stock headunit with an Alpine 9885. This single change makes the stock speakers sound 90% less like crap! Because of this, I can allow myself to postpone upgrading the speakers, but I know I will eventually install something better for SQ.
The installation was very easy since I bought the HU from Crutchfield with a color-coded wiring harness. I had already swapped the stock HU and gauges.

One feature I like a lot is that the Alpine's illuminated buttons can be changed from the standard blue to a red that is very close at night to Mitsu's dash lights. During the day, the Alpine red looks more pink-ish and is not a good match. Here are some pictures, I don't know if they show the color change well, but at least I tried.

I think I went through all the settings, and I didn't see any way to change the colors of the dial and other buttons.
I have the Ipod interface cable routed to the glovebox, but I haven't tried it yet.
