A/C button not working?

Could this be a fuse or something? When i press the a/c it doesnt seem like anything happens. The light doesnt come on to indicate i pressed the button. Its still winter here so it doesnt matter a whole lot. But i dont want to be driving around with the a/c on. And it also just bothers when something wrong with my car.

im almost 100% sure this doesnt belong in this section of the forum, but if you dont have the tempature gauge set on cold, the a/c wont turn on, i think this also applys to the selector for where the air goes, if its on defrost then the a/c doesnt turn on,...i think

well if the knob that controls the temp. of what the air is coming out isnt on the blue side, the a/c button wont come on. Sense it is cold out, I take it you have it on the red side, so the button will not light up..
