Best JL's?

I'm thinking about getting a JL for my car. What do you guys recommend for subs and amps? I'm also looking for bass on the outside too. Had Pioneers and they only sounded good on the inside, and it sounded stock on the outside

The 2 12" Pioneers that I had only had bass on the inside of my car, but when you stepped outta the car, you'd hear more vocals than bass if that makes any sense.

To sum it all up.. the subs sucked.

See my sig for my setup. I didn't get the JL amps just because I was already over budget and I couldn't tell the difference side-by-side with my chosen speakers in the store.

Basically I have XR 650s at the corners and a single 10w6v2 sub. The w7 was just insane more money and I couldn't tell the difference for the life of me.

Nice setup!! Does/did your box move around when you take normal left/right turns?

I have a 10w7, and it is clean and loud. Powered by a 500/1v2 amp (make sure you get the v2 amp). Alternatively, if you want some really low bass go for the 13w7 and I think JL recommends the 1000/1v2. That 13 is a beast.

+1 I had 1 W7 an a MTX sub it sounded great inside aslong as I dint have it turned all the way up, I was told that out side you could hear it if you were in close proximity but then again I go for what I can hear inside thats what really counts?

I didn't pay the 400$ so everyone else next to me could hear it.

I have a 12W7 and a 1000/1. Its stupid loud. Get in on the audio integrations group buy on thier box and pick up a 12w6. Get a 500/1 and you are set.

I guess everyone has different priorities, but why do you care what it sounds like OUTSIDE the car? You'll be in the car and what it sounds like inside is all that matters. Actually, the less sound you can hear outside the car, the louder and better it will sound inside the car. Unless your primary goal is to annoy other people around you...
