Climate control relocation

Just finished a climate control relocation on my 2006 EVO MR.

Used a 2000 Galant climate control.

A Giant pain in the butt. Took weeks, and mad soldering skills.

STILL don't have the defrost light working.

Just had a realization that I had a "stupid attack" and I could have used the -14V signal from the EVO's climate control, despite the use of the common ground on the Galant's indicator lights.

Oh well. Guess I'll pull out the soldering iron AGAIN when I take the dash apart.

Still waiting on the JDM double DIN instrument panel.

I wish orbital was still selling their kits.

What did you do for the vacuum lines? Did you have to extend them (if yes, how), or were they long enough to reach down there. I may be doing this in the future.

Thanks.

Most of the people ordering from orbital for the relocation kit have been waiting for months on their kits. The japanese and european automatic climate controls bear a striking resemblance to the singe din galant climate control.

No vacuum lines to the climate control. Cables. The vent selector cable reaches, the temperature is a little short. Substituted one of the Galants cables for the temperature control so I had the room.

Thanks, I guess no vac lines makes sense. Wouldn't work very well under boost.

Pretty unique. I think it looks good. Also that climate control can be found in the 2000-2004 Eclipse also.

Did you also order the jdm bracketing? The faceplate is easy to buy but I cant seem anybody to find that bracketing.
