sence no one has voted, now im thinkin of 2 type X 10s with 2 alpine pdx-1.1000s installed by the tail lights in the trunk, is that enough air space for them. custom box wise,

If you want something very loud, then the custom boxes back by the taillights are probably not ideal. The best for volume is usually facing straight towards the rear. In my experience (not in an evo) the closer to the rear bumper the better (farther away from the back seat). Just keep moving it back to the point that it's the loudest.

I agree there is no way the evo alternator will handle it. Mine had a hard time keeping up with my RF power 500.1 running about 725 watts with a power cap. good luck

I am on the stock alternator running a PDX 1.1000 (rated at 1x1167 RMS) and a PDX 4.150 (rated at 4x170 RMS). I have no problems whatsoever....granted I am running a cap with this setup.

dude a capacitor doesn't do crap just robs the alternator of more power all a cap does is when you have a system and have a high power surge from bass, like the brief hard hits, the capacitor let's loose some energy to compensate and help save the battery. very quick. then charges back up.

I understand what a cap does and that is is just a band aid....my point was the amount of power I'm running has been a non-issue with a stock alternator

ill get an alternator if i have to, cause im doing my stereo right, im not just gonna by some stuff at a stereo shop and have them jimmy rig it in there, i no i gotta get a batter for sure then prolly an alternator, so what alternator do i need for 2 pdx-1.1000s to push the subs, cause i have boxes picked out already.
