orbital in...almost
orbital in...almost
Yesterday my orbital and kenwood DNX 8120 showed up on my porch. I got everything wired up fine and GPS , bluetooth, and rear camera working. However to make the headunit fit perfectly inside the orbital I've tried: using supplied template, and boring out mounting bracket holes a little.
Has anybody used just one screw on each side for the mounting plates that attach to the HU so they swivel up and down a bit??
I gave up for the night and haven't been able to tweak it today.
Anybody have a suggestion that I didn't see when searching? (those were the two i found)
I suppose a clear head and some little adjustments and I'll get it. Just trying to get some more ideas before I run out of drill space on the dash
....I will post pics once she's in

Spent a little time this evening and got it to fit pretty nicely without having to trim any of the orbital.
To get the right angle I put three little washers behind the top two mounting screws for the headunit brackets. I really like the garmin gps program it runs!
