Okay this sounds easy enough then not that Im afraid of doing a little work but its always nice to have things be a little more easy if possible just curious though but do you provide instrustions on how to install the bezel that you make? Again not that it matters Id most likely buy one anyway... also when would be the best time to get ahold of you or should I just shoot you an email now about a future purchase (if you decide to start making them again)

I provide instructions for the bezel, and also for installing the dd headunit using the factory radio brakets with the jdm dd trim. You can contact me any time. I reply when I get the chance because I work shifts.

I did have to cut the metal.

Different approach

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to try this and do it differently. This is a much easier way. Everything is the same except make 1 inch spacers for the bolts to mount the Ac . Trim out out control faceplate and don't even need to get all precise with it because your going to mount the faceplate on and then put the cubby over it. Comes out perfectly clean every time. Easy too I did the whole relocation in 45 min. Pm me if you have questions
Enjoy

bump - any tips on getting the 2din to fit perfect? I think I'm going to have to cut those rubber studs off that support the back of the metal brackets, not fitting great with those sticking out

Great write up! Though I don't need double din but it's going to be gauges and single din head unit at better eye level

The era of making this these kits by hand died with Metra. Them being a big enough company, their mass production of these kits allowed them to be cheap enough to not making its build by hand worth it. That said, here's the company that used to make them for me: http://www.custominstallparts.com/st..._-_CUSTOM.html. You can find the Metra kit by googling as it is mostly found through their retailers.

My website is still active, so for pics of the kit linked above, visit: http://www.prtc.net/~cjramos54/Gallery.html. No sales are being done through the site, so if you're looking into getting this kit, visit the link above, or google the metra kit.

For installation instructions, email me at evohvacbezel@gmail.com

Kits are now cheap: http://www.custominstallparts.com/st..._-_CUSTOM.html. Also, google "lancer metra" in images and you'll find the Metra version. No need for the hassle with wiring for the Galant HVAC or fabrication.
