Hid Installation

my buddy has a question and for some reason his computer isnt working at the moment so im trying to help him out. he got 06 evo 9 with out HID just the normal headlights. and he wants to put the hid kit on is there some specific way of doing this like need a wireing harness or when u order the kit it comes with all that? i wasnt too sure my self bec i never done one before. so if you could help him out that would be great thanks alot!

you can find people on here selling pnp, or plug and play kits for evo's without hids. they are totally simple to install. literally plug it in, install the bulb, mount the ignitor assembly, turn on, and enjoy.

get this

you need a harnes from evo 8 or 9 that has hid it will not work with non hid harnes. there is harnes under the dash for the swithes.

Yeah I really don't think that you NEED a harness... You can buy a plug and play kit that will plug right in... And I think they make them for literally almost all headlamp plugs... Even if they don't it cannot be too hard to make. Pm me aswell if u need more help.

Loud and clear good buddy. Tell "your friend" *wink wink*, that he should get a 9006 HID kit and whatever bulbs he likes. It's plug and play. Hope this helps you... err, your buddy.
