How to Splice into Wires on the ECU Harness??

I am getting ready to install a Greddy Turbo timer w/ harness and the project seems very straight forward. My only question is about how exactly I go about splicing into the Speed sensor wire on the ECU and the parking break wire? I am sure it is very simple but I would just like to make sure as I don't have any experience doing it. Do I simply strip the wires and connect them? On one of the walk throughs in the How To Section it looked like there might be a plastic junction piece that can be used for splicing? Thanks a lot for the help.

I used these when i did mine. And they worked very well.

You can pick them up at a local Automotive store.

Ok, that is exactly what I was looking for. So it looks like your just laying the sections of stripped wires across this and closing the clamp?

all you have to do is basically put the wire in that you want splice into and than put your tt wire in on the other side and close it. the connector cuts into the wire once you close it. you should only have splice into two wires. The brake and the ecu.

This is the wire harness:

and this a good write up:

Good luck.

Thanks for all the info. Do you happen to know the name of the part you posted a picture of, so that I can ask for the right thing at the automotive store? Thanks.

Use some Snap-lock Connectors. They are cheap. You slide them over the wire, and insert the new wire into a hole on them. When you push down on the metal blade, it straddles and cuts the insulation.
Good Luck.

The splices are mainly referred to as scotchloks.
