Is this alarm any good?
I've had a Python 460 HP sitting in my room since I had my last car. Ironically it got stolen the same week I bought the alarm and planned to put it in. It was an Integra. I figured it'd be good for that car and now that I have the Evo I was wondering how good these alarms are and will it work fine in the Evo.
I work nights and I park on a busy main street (yes yes I know you can never be too careful) so I'm not too too worried but I might as well get it installed before I end up having regrets like with the Integra.

You should go with something like a Clifford or Viper (both made by DEI) with the 2 way lcd display remote. That way, if you're within range, you know what's going on with your car. If it goes off or even warns someone, it'll page you on the remote. I love mine and use them on all my vehicles.
Python is also a product of DEI, but go 2 way, IMO. You get an extra sense of security!

There is nothing wrong with the python 460 alarm system. I have installed hundreds of these. It all depends on the installer. I've never had a car stolen, parked at air port terminals for multiple days, left it in baltimore DC area, had a type r and an evo. Always had good luck. Had attempted thefts on the type r, but never stolen.
Again, I cannot stress this enough, ALL DEPENDS ON WHO INSTALLS THE ALARM AND WHAT COMPONENTS THEY USE!
