Hi guys, I bought the Prosport performance series oil temp and water temp gauge and will be installing it myself. I've got some very newbie questions about wiring because I've never done it before... but hey.. everyone's gotta start somewhere right?

Anyways, the Prosport box came with these little metal cap accessories as well as a rubber tube shown in the pic below (not sure what they're called). Am I supposed attach them to the green wire (sender wire) of the gauge wire so they can be plugged into the temperature sender?
