the 5901 is nice and a little cheaper theres no added features for the price difference... MAke sure you pick up a 507m also its a digital tilt sensor and I prefer a backup battery hope this helps

i have a question. viper 5901 or 5002? The 5901 has the option of starting your car which will not be useful with manuals.. unless you want to spend more $$. The 5002 looks like it does all the same stuff... what are ppls ideas/thoughts?

^ true but it's gonna cost you an arm and leg, plus I tried it and it is VERY slow on the communicating between iphone and the car.

The 5902 is a very good alarm/remote start. However, for the price it has quite a few features that one may or may not use. With regards to the smart start, they also now have it for blackberry, but as bozookah said, it is pretty spendy and isnt the greatest with communication.
