Yea that would cause the problem if you have the SSL with the amp, not sure if the MR has the amp or not. But you should still have no sound if the amp is not powered on. Try and check all ur connections again. If your not getting sound out of the front right that should be Grey/ Grey- Black on the radio side. Make sure everything is taped good or crimp cap.

All you have to do is color match the 2 harnesses if the radio has it match it with the one you bought, connect the blue wire as well tape each wire, making sure everything it is the same, the black it self need to be grounded to a metal part of the car.

So i have to ground it? The ground wire isent long itself, maybe a foot long. Is there even any bare metal around the center consul?

i added wire to my ground to make it longer and i grounded it straight to the back of the console because that is all metal and makes a good ground connection. all the wires from the back of the head unit to the wiring harness you bought should all match up same color. the blue wire is the remote wire for your aftermarket amp if you have one, that is probably why you have no bass. check all your wires, sounds like to me the reason the front right speaker doesnt work is because there is a loose wire or bad connection. what kind of connections did you use? post a pic?

I have no pics atm but i used butt connectors to connect them. I think the only wire i left out was the blue wire, dident know what "remote wire" meant at the time. The thing is i dont have a aftermarket amp.

if you are doing the radio under the climate control you may have to extend it till you have screw and metal. But if you are at the normal location there is a screw behind to the left that is a 10mm you can remove and connect ground to that. Since you have the MR i dont think they come with an amp. But it can also be a speaker wire grounding out, and another reason you speaker dont work. post some pics and we can help.

I got it!! I found a place to ground it and sound from all speakers. Though a little more bass but nothing like the old head unit. The rears arent kicking as hard (guessing the connections) but for now its good. Getting to cold outside haha. Also the reason i can tell is because my Volt gauge isent bouncing everywhere when a bass note hits.

I know it isent the best but all i could do for now.

Looks good, great ground. Blue is Power antenna, you do not have that. Blue/White is Amp turn on factor or aftermarket. I personally would not use butt connections just because you have to do them right for them to stay right and they still always fall out or break the plastic connection so they wires dont rub. Also save your self some time and remove the tape and use 2 zip ties one on each side of the connections helps the stress on the connections and also if you ever have to check a wire you wont have to remove that tape. After one hot day it will start to melt. Looks good tho, bass problem turn up the EQ bass on the radio. You should get a better sound out of that radio, getting more WTTS to each speaker. Also cant tell if you used Orange/white if you did cut the wire its just auto dimmer and sometimes is not pinned right for your car.
