have you guys tried adding more power before you wrote off the speakers? i added an amp to my evo with stock speakers and just added an amp to my 2011 wrx with stock speakers. i have no intention of buying aftermarket speakers again. a lack of power is the problem, not the speakers.

I just install 2 kicker speaker in the rear deck of my car n they sound no where near stk. Stk was better even with an aftermarket head unit if i.stall a amp i kno it would sound 10x better but nah i am going back to stk.

I am running the stock speakers I upgraded the headunit but that is all and they seem fine.. not like when I had 2 12inch kicker crv's in my ranger and a 2400 watt amp to push them lol :P but who needs speakers anyways, i prefer the sound of my turbo spooling

There's a factory hole through the firewall behind the glovebox.

^ yep hole behind glove box. I have everything running through there. I have stock speakers added a head unit, sub and mono amp. It has a little punch and sounds pretty good.
