A/C has been out quite some time, and now I'm tired of it.

Dropped it off at a shop, they had it two days, could not figure out the issue. The tech said that the compressor was not getting power.

Has anyone faced this issue before? I want A/C but I hate dropping it off at shops who are too lazy to find a problem.

 

Sounds like you need to get yourself a manual and look at the wiring diagram for the compressor and see what wires run the compressor. Besides that could check fuses relays etc.
