faster/better way to disable Evo from theft?
Along with the rising crime here in LA, car theft is increasing as well. The other night my neighbor's car was stolen, right next to my IX. No broken glass, nothing suspicious seen or heard, just gone in the middle of the night.
As of now, I'm pulling the ignition coil fuse (#1) from the driver's side fuse box that's in front of the clutch pedal. Car turns over but won't start.
Obviously this isn't ideal, and will be a pain in the butt every time I take the car out. Is there a faster/better way to prevent thieves from starting the car and driving off?

You can use valet mode from Tephra as a prevention for theft
auto valet mode on, and a limit of 500 rpm in valet mode, so It wont turn on, unless you disable valet mode (10 sec pedal to the floor before ignition)
You can also use a alt map with a injector scaling way off or rpm limit really low, so it wont turn on unless you change maps

Thieves can defeat a viper alarm. I suspect that when the disarm signal is sent to to the viper system from the fob thieves can intercept the signal and clone it to another fob. That is my rationale for how my Friend's Evo got stolen with said Viper alarm system being defeated.

you can wire a hidden switch to your clutch switch(plug). I still use a club...the one that looks like a baseball bat. A visible theft deterrent is important. Batt disconnect/E85 map switching possibly can help, the car wont get far. for towing, mayne theres a handbrake lock available

A deterrent is only as good as its install / implementation. If I can reach up under your dash and pull out the alarm brain, then you just helped me hot wire your car. Bonus points if you were dumb enough to embed the key. The Evo interior comes apart really quick too, so you're going to have to be creative.
If someone is attacking your car electronically, I think you're probably screwed. It does make a case for something as simple as a well hidden analog switch.
Modern cordless power tools can chew through stuff pretty quickly. It's crazy how fast you see dudes stealing catalytic converters.

You can try looking into the drone alarm system.it uses the compustar system. Has a remote start and valet mode in it got it on my Evo 10. I didn't even need the actual alarm remote. Cause I can just use my phone instead.
