MItsubishi Evo 8 - How to tell if I have central locking?
Hello,
I am unsure whether I have a problem with my central locking or if I even have central locking at all...
I have a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII 260 -2005, originally from the UK.
I have a Cobra 8185 immobilizer installed, also called "Elite 4" by Mitsubishi. From what I understand this is what Mitsubishi in the UK installed on many Evos and other models too.
I have power windows, AC and SAYC, so it shouldn't be a stripped down RS-model EVO....right? If it were I would understand why no central locking was installed. The only thing mentioned in the documentation that came with the car says it's a 260 model.
The cobra key fob is working BUT when using the remote it only locks or unlocks the driver side door, not the other doors. Using the physical key in the driver side door only locks/unlocks that door, not the others. Same if the key is used on the front passenger door.
Checked the fuses under the steering wheel, no issues there, couldn't find any blown fuses.
So I guess my question is if there is an easy way to verify that I have or don't have central locking, other than the fact that it's simply not working...? If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions I would very much appreciate your input. Thanks.
