I have a tea kettle loud whistle when the boost starts to build. I am pretty sure it is coming from the my Lower I/C pipe where it meets the turbo. I plan on getting under the car today to try to fix it. I bought the Buschur Delux FMIC that is when it started and now it is louder after the dealear replaced my clutch.

I fixed it. It was what I thought it was. The lower I/C pipe flange. I had to use some High temp RTV with the gasket, let it dry for a few hours. took it for a test drive and everything was fine. Now just waiting 24 hrs till I can turn the boost back up to 21PSI.

No kidding? I got that when I tried to re-use the OEM gasket with GReddy piping. I thought I had failed to tighten it enough. Turns out I just needed to use the thicker GReddy gasket.

Same gasket as the BOV (FYI).

Check the tightness of the pipe coming off of the turbo going to the FMIC; these bolts are notorious for coming loose.

It's most likely an air leak. Do a leak test. Mine did that with a leak at the flange between the UpperIntercooler Pipe and the 1G Diverter valve(Buschur's setup). I used some red gasket maker material (looks like silicon tube) and waited a few hours to test drive. It's all nice and quiet now except for the sound of air rushing through my cone fitler.

I'm having this same issue as well. I noticed it after i installed my ETS I/C piping, inter cooler, and intake. The sound happens at low rpms, at approximately between 10-4 psi under vacuum. Once i get the car into boost range, the sound goes away.

Besides clamping down my IC pipes and checking my BOV, is there any other suggestions on the cause or better the yet a solution :< Thanks in advance
