Like caleb said, there is not really anything you can "Bolt On" for timing control I don't *think*.

If you are looking for something low cost (comparitively), you can go the Power FC route L-Jetro which is 900 bucks plus a commander (around 300). If you can get that deal 800 bucks for a D-Jetro, that converts you to MAP, which is a bit more work, but worth it in the end probably. What I like about the L-Jetro is that its plug and play from the box, and is a much better ECU than stock. Obviously it isnt tuned, and you would still need to do that to get the kind of gains you want. I did not want to go the AEM route because quite frankly, I don't have time to learn it. Is the UTEC a stand alone? I really am not versed in that product. I would recommend a standalone over a piggyback if you are needing timing control.

One other aspect that you need to consider is that with an Xede or the UTEC you keep your OBD II system intact so you can pass emissions. In the Dallas area you have to have this so that they can pl;ug in to get the sticker. You do not have these functions with the stand alone systems. While that is not an issue in some areas of the country, it is here.

I'm pretty much set on the UTEC if there is not a simple timing solution out there. Thanks for all the recommendations guys!

It was called the ITC. A lot of DSMs used to use them.

I should be at Wasabi soon to do a little more tuning with mine if you want to come and see how it works. By the way I checked and the numbers I made the other day were at 18PSI at redline.
