HKS SSQV bov questions

Ok, recently I bought an HKS bov with the recirculation fitting. For the C clamp, is it possible to use something other than the compressor tool? I couldn't seem to find one in town. Perhaps needle nose plyers? Also, the C clamp, the flat side points up towards the bov correct?

Does anybody have a picture of one installed (recirculated)?

Thanks,
-Dave

ive seen the tool at home depot and autozone.
id assume needle nose pliars could work, but it would probably be a fight.
it was a pain to get in either way.
i think the flat side goes towards the flange

heres a good write up

One last parts question. Well I went and finally found the tool, since my needle nosed plyers didn't quite fit in the holes. I got the flange on that bad boy. Are you supposed to use the stock bov hose from the UICP to the flange on the bov? My kit didn't come with a hose. And it doesn't seem to fit quite right with the stock hose. I was sent the recirculation fitting and that was it, the hole on my intake is metal (hks rs kit) and the outlet on the bov is a different size than the hole on the intake pipe. How did you guys get that thing attached?

Thanks
Sorry if these are newbie questions, I had a greddy type-s on my 99 eclipse GSX and it was much easier to install than this thing!

my setup on the HKS SSQV with upper IC pipe while recirculating to the intake.

not recirculating the HKS SSQV causes the car to run like crap.i found that out the hard way by getting smoked and dusted by other slower cars =(. major turbo lag. after custom fitting a 1.25" ID radiator hose that i bought from RS Strauss onto the intake, it took care of the problem. the HKS SSQV recirculation fitting is 1" ID i had to also get a small radiator hose that was 1"ID to fit over the recirculation fitting and inside the 1.25" ID hose in order to keep it tight. I've been driving it with this setup for about 2 weeks now so far no problems. no lag. quick response and no boost leaks. only thing is you wont hear the SSQV as loud and it doesnt sound like the laser as it usually does. instead u hear a quick whoosh sound. any questions feel free to PM me.
