Yes I had the stock cat and after I removed it i got 400 to 500 better spool. How much are you paying for the training?? I need to take the AEM class too

did you have problems with the oil return line leaking.. i did i had to cut my stock one and use it for the return. im not really happy with the spool. i do have the stock cat but seem to take a while to spool. this turbo doesnt hit like the stock one..

i think for a ball bearing it would spool a little faster. i think the stock cat is hurting the power tho..

im kinda of undecided if i really like this turbo yet... it does seem to spool to higher rpms tho.. that kinda nice..

I'll give you some advice. First loose the cat and second you need to TUNE it in. You can't expect for the turbo to be better just by bolting it up. Key is tunning...

When i first installed mine it spoold at 4500 RPM . I removed my cat tuned it and waited for the break in period and now full boost by 3700~3800.

i wanted to give you my 1st impression of the kit.. if feels nice but i just wanted to let people know that bolting it on wasnt the best thing right out of the box. im going to be installing my ems soon and 750 injectors and tune it. im must say i love the way my tomei bov sounds tho..

any other hint's about your guys kit to clean up? what is the break in for this turbo? is anyone in the socal southbay area i can see there kit?

thanks

well be careful, if you aren't running the right config, you may be doing more harm than good. What are you using now for a program? Stock? Flash?

note to anyone else that thinks they can drop in a big turbo and expect it to work... it doesn't work that way!

Dump pipe was a pain. But the lower radiator hose should not be close to anything that can cause damage such as downpipe . Dump pipe is easier to install if you fit the top piece into the wastegate first . I also had my downpipe loose so it could move it to fit the lower pipe.
