well there seems to be alot of turbo size going on here.
i have as of yet had a chance to get my injectors and ems tuned.
my current mod's are
dc sports 3" cat back
rvm hard pipe kit
hallman pro mbc
dyno flash custome tune
i have the boost controler set at 20 psi and my wide band uego guage running pig rich.
i am running 17 psi right now with this set up and still running rich...
i think there is good chance of making nice power.. now realize im not looking to make lots of power. i want driveablity and responce . as far as now i miss my 16g. i made 296 hsp at XS before switching to the 3071 r which is not bad but that turbo seemed to dye out at higher rpms.. when i get done tuning the set up ill tell you what i feel. i have made buying mistakes in the past so im not to proud to admit.
i think larger trubo have good and bad points and really depends on what one want's to do with the car. i personally hardly ever see track time road or drag racing. so my goal is to maximize my set up with those things in mind..
i do like the diffrent feed back i have seen even off topic. some of it seem like a
deal.. now if you think buying the atp kit is going to be easy to install when it doesnt come with instruction for most you'll want to give it back..
we should all get together and check out the set up's. i would like to put some faces with the names...

I was going to do the 3071R, but did the research. I am going with the GT35, with the larger A/R housing (87). The spool-up is quicker, and power output well exceeds the 3071 by about 100hp. Check out the dyno results of the two on atp's site.
for quicker spool up, use the greddy profec-b. It will allow you to customize the boost to your liking and street conditions. I love the way I can adjust the gain. Utilize your timing and fuel mapping. That has alot to do with spool up time. I am using the Forge Motorsports vented BOV. It is awsome! This BOV will smooth the boost pressure so your evo is more drivable. Everyone who has ridden in my evo comments on how smooth the boost feels.
It's the diverter valve! This is a major key to making power! Just enough spring tention to vent, but enough to keep the valve closed! I like the fact that the BOV is vented and has a huge piston, which is a double design. I have no problems with this valve! It is the best i have used! ALthough I did have to upgrade the spring to a slightly stiffer one due to the reflash which made a 200 rpm quicker spool up. I also installed more agressive mapping and timing curves! Highly recommend getting you ECU's reflashed! NIght and day difference! The second one I would use is APS.

the GT35R will never spool as fast as the 3071 or even the 3037 to start with. I have the same BOV that you have and I love it
