thats a damn good price shipped! it seems that people are confusing loud for deep. the helix is deep. i was considering the bushur also, but it was really loud and raspy when i got to hear it. for the price and performance of the helix, you will not be disappointed. good luck with your search.

i bought mine from Cal and also installed at Gruppe-S. Good guys and a great shop.

This is exactly what i have, i cut my helix test pipe and had a friend tig weld me a resonator in between the flanges. It now resides in the stock cat location and it sounds AWESOME now.

Are you sure about that? From the pics in this thread, the Megan racing exhaust sure looks different compared to the Helix.

Define AWESOME for me... someone said loud vs. deep. I'm partial to deep, but too old for loud. Thanks in advance.

I have the cat-back on mine running through the stock cat and downpipe. It's not really loud, but it is noticeably louder than stock. It's even loud at idle. Since I daily drive my car, my wife forced me to put in the silencer. Now, it's just slightly louder than stock, but it did get noticeably slower (back pressure). I do like the quality of the piece and mine kind of comes out at an angle, but it's a true straight through design.

On the bright side it does come with a silencer!

I don't mind it sticking out to far.. Infact I'm happy because my old exhaust which was an HKS did not stick to far infact it was barely out and it was high so that means it burned the bumper... My car also is running a bit rich so that means with the exhaust sticking out a bit mean less chances of the rear bumper getting black quicker....... Anyway thanks for the advice.

Actually there is more to it than that. Depending on the design, the can may interfere with the bumper and the hanger positions are off next to the can.

It is now ALOT deeper than when i had the Helix test pipe in place and brought the noise level down. So now at WOT it is now as loud as before.

Couple of things:

1) Is the Helix easy to install? Is there any welding? Borla cat back is weld free...

2) If the helix is the megan racing one does that mean to have to drill a O2 bung sensor hole... I heard that it is a bit of a pain in the butt....
