Does this mean my clutch needs replacing?

I was on the freeway today and decided to nail it @ 75 in 5th - well the RPMs shot up but my speed diddn't..... The clutch does catch, after a thou RPM of slipping tho, then drops back and catches (do I make any sence? hard to explain). I can't for the life of me get the clutch to slip in 1st thru 4th gear, even when i do a 5k "slip-drop" take off.... only 5th .... wierd eh?? I am suspecting that I will need a new clutch soon?

i dont know, right now i just decided to go for a drive, and the gears dont seem to be going in, the engine is running, and normally the rpms drop when i release the clutch but it doesnt, and when i put it into gear it doesnt move, i can rev the rpms to 3-4000 but theres nothing, no movement, and even in 1-5th gears at a stand still the engine doesnt choke, whats going on, is it my clutch?!?! i need help bad the car is sitting in the driveway normally i have it in the garage. but yeah someone help us. none of the gears seem to be going in......

voodoo welcome to the club. Bite the bullet and put a real clutch and flywheel in your ride.

mt. if you can feel the gears meshing when you move your shift lever you might have a clutch prob. but the way you describe the symptoms it could also be a much less serious linkage problem. If you broke a gear you would probably have heard it let go so that seems remote.

yeah pushed the car back into the garage, now from reading on other posts, by a search, it seems like its a clutch prob, so im getting a new clutch. since my car is dead still, ill have to get a flat bed tow truck too, damn this is going to cost me, haha. .....No this is Not Funny. hehe. damn so sad. well i guess it was bound to happen, its a 2001 evo 7 so its older than the evo 8's everyone here has. guess its just its time.
