Umm you actually gain MORE than you loose, because you gain more mid and top end power with torque.

Well. In general, more power usually means less fuel economy. I know, I know. Freeing up air flow, more efficiency, yada yada. And that's fine if you don't floor it. But if you put 272s in your car, you can't tell me with a straight face that you won't be hurtling to 80 every once in a while, as fast as it'll go.

And when you do? You can almost see your gas needle falling.

Heck if you are worried about gas mileage you should trade in your car for a civic . j/k

idle on the 272s will be rough. I suggest you go for the stagger setup. I have the 272s right now and frankly, I'm sick of the idle issue. I got the utec to tune it out a bit, but it doesnt seem to help much. Plus, the drivability of the cams is horrible. Part throttle will be rough and so is idle. I just think that the 272s is not good for a daily driver. I'm thinking about swapping them out for the stagger setup. Good luck!

Indeed, I'm not arguing that. I was simply making a point about the trade off. If you were using it as a street/autox vehicle that low end loss is WAY more pronounced than any gain (low speeds).

But, if you're racing 1/4 or track you'll get the benefit of the added power in the upper ranges (higher speeds) and it will make the loss seem like nothing.

It's about where he wants the power; that's all I was pointing out.

Why get a Civic? I traded my Evo for a bicycle. But then I put a turbo on that, too.
