Are you guys going to dyno with race gas with the cat installed? And are you shooting for 450whp on 91 with the cat?

Does the car have a cutout on it now?

Well we finally got the car back on the dyno last night. I just want to stress how crappy 91 octane really is. I think it's comparable to 89octane most of you guys get back East. At least that is what I have heard from several reliable sources. It is just really hard to make good safe power on 91 octane.

Ok now to the tuning. We are running 21-22psi on 91 octane. No octane booster, no race gas, no water injection, etc

Stock ignition
Stock throttle body
NO Water Injection

We worked with the car for a while to get rid of some knocking and false knocking the EMS was reading. It wanted to keep retarding the timing and lowering the power. We are really finding the limitation of the 91 octane on these EVO's.

After about an hour of tuning we got the car to make 427whp and 400ft lbs at 21psi. We were actually pretty happy about this because of the fact that the car is super driveable and that is a ton of power for 91 octane and a 4 wheel Dyno Dynamics Dyno(lower reading dyno).

Eventually if Jimmy's wants to get some huge numbers out of the car we will add

Water/Alcohol Injection
Works 65mm Throttle Body
Upgraded Ignition

If we were to run about 30-35psi on C-16 the car would make 600-650whp easily. As of right now the car runs great with the EMS and it is super driveable. I can only imagine how fun this car is going to be as a daily driver.

Is this through the RNR super quiet exhaust with high flow cat?

Yes, this is through a 3" long Cat, 2 long resonators and a Carbon/TI muffler. I think with a test pipe and a loud exhaust it would make more power, but wouldn't be a comfortable to drive.

I am going to try and get some more recent pics up as well. The owner has really big plans for the car this year.
