Which to get

i'm trying to descide which upgrade to purchase next.
Choices are:

HKS Cams 264/272
or
Works T.B.
or
Intercoller piping

I sort of leaning towards the cams. But as always the more input the better. So let me know what you think.

From the posts i've read it seams like the 264/272 is good for daily drivers also.

But what i'm unsure about them, and why i havent made a descision on what to get is i 'm not sure what tuning is involved after installation of the cams. If cam gears should be prchased along with cams. Also i think i'd probably need to install the arp head studs. (when exactially are those needed?)

Why would you want a Works. T.B.E. if you "already have that - and then some"?

Go w/ the Cams ... More gains then if you went with the intercooler piping ..

i was responding to the previous post (the one i quoted) with that statement.

Anyone know when the IC piping starts to limit performance? Like what other mods nessitate (sp) upgrading the IC piping?

I think the best bet is to ask a tuner like Vishnu or Buschur for example. I am sure they tested both cams and can tell you what they think. This guy I know that builds engines told me if I were to get cams go with 272 for better power its more worth it if you are going to spend the money. He said the 264 compared to 272 is about the same on the idle and not difference. Maybe because most of his cars are crazily modded

i canceled my IC and lower piping for cams, gears, and headstuds... i'm probably going with straight 272's though...

In a way, this is kind of like asking, "What shall I eat for dinner?"

Steak
or
salt & pepper
or
steak sauce?

Between all three, only one is the 'meat' (cams), and the others are 'dressings'. One is part of a meal, and the other two just make it taste a little better.

But be advised that getting cams without at least a reflash or better means of revamping fuel AND ignition tuning, etc., is like having a piece of meat and no way to cook it.
