UR TestPipe with CEL??
Last night i installed the UR test pipe. After turning the car on, it was fine there was no CEL. Went to get gas and after i was done i started the car and i got a CEL. I disconected the batt and reset. Nothing came on, i shut off the car, later i went for a drive and got the light. I believe i have installed it correctly. I have the 02 bung sensor facing towards the front of the car on the passenger side of the car. I used the extra wires provided to extend the oem ones. I know there are 2 black wires, does it matter which one i put or do they have to be put in a certain way? Any advice?? I used the stock gaskets in place but dont think its the issue. I havent checked the code yet to see if it pertains to the testpipe. Thanks

No prob, my bud had them switched back when he first installed his. He was having issues with the car not starting due to this, switched the wires and all was fine. Suggestion to those using this pipe, you really don't have to cut the wires, https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=75667
or wrapping them with some good loom and taking out the rubber gromet in the heatshield on the passenger side and running a zip tie through it to keep the wire away from the pipe... uhmmm... yeah that works too
yes the wires do have to be soldered in the right (original order),i got kind of ghetto and used twine through my subframe to keep the wires off the exhaust(after i heat-shrinked them)and on a side-note arent the stock gaskets 2.5" your losing the full flow effect of the test-pipe using those gasgets,i would lose the gasgets and use permatex copper rvt gasget maker,i know UR recommends permatex"the right stuff"but i would cook that ****e off every track day, good luck i hope you work your problem out,ive got 7000 miles with no cat and not one light

First thing to do is find out which code your SES light is throwing.
I have not gotten an SES light from my UR test pipe and it's been on the car for at least 6,000 miles (probably more.)
My UR test pipe is installed with the bung facing towards the rear of the car on the passenger side so that the o2 sensor has a straight shot to plug in. I also extended the wiring and soldered all the wires one at a time to ensure that none of them got switched. (If I recall there were 2 black wires, 1 blue, 1 white) I also used zip ties like mitsuorder suggested, to hold the wires away from the exhaust. So far everything is working great, not one SES light.
