Defi BF Boost Gauge Problem
Defi BF Boost Gauge Problem
I decided to put in the Defi BF boost gauge tonight (it looks sweet), but I'm having a problem with it. After getting everything hooked up and turning the ignition on, the gauge does absolutely nothing. If I turn on the lights the Control Unit II illuminates but the gauge continues to do nothing.
I have ensured that I am plugging the meter II output (for the BF gauges) into the gauge as properly perscribed, but I get nothing out of the gauge.
For 12v constant power (Red) I spliced into the Red/Black wire on the radio harness.
For 12v ignition (Orange) I spliced into the Red wire on the cigarette lighter.
For Ground (Black) I spliced into the Black wire on the cigarette lighter.
For Illumination (White) I spliced into the Green / White Stripe wire on the cigarette lighter.
My AFC II and everything else appears to be functioning normally. Any suggestions?? I scanned Search but it did not turn up an answer to my problem.
Thanks!

Defi gauge gets the power from the control unit and if everything is hooked up right (control unit is lighting up as you say)
did you check all the wires?
We installed d-gauge couple weeks ago and it wasn't working well because i didn't do the splicing well but once i squezed the splicers harder, everything worked well...

Haha - problem fixed; my color blindness got the best of me and I wired the Red 12v battery wire to the Red / Blue wire on the radio harness instead of the Red / Black wire. The gauge and control unit work like a charm now!! Great gauge, I can't wait to get more!!
