A question for those of you with the deceleration noise

My car has the "death whine" too which sounds like what you guys are discribing. Based on my research it is the ring and pinion located in the transfer case. The pinion is wearing high/low on the ring gear. My noise happens on deceleration in 5th and 4th gear in any rpm above 1500. I really don't believe this noise is related to exhaust or clutch rattle. Look up shep transmission and you'll find some good info on the "death whine"

Anybody else that has this decel rattle?
My Exedy stg1 w/Gruppe-S has a loud rattle at 40-60mph, when I let off the gas pedal.
What is the cause? TOB or lighter flywheel?? Anybody?
