Unhappy Looking for advise/Experience

Okay to give a little background on the car...I picked the car up a couple months ago. First mod I did was a Helix TBE with high flow cat. Car felt strong after this. Next few mods were suspension, Boost Controller (Greddy Profec B...not the Spec II, just the old one with a high and low boost setting), Injen intake(with the upper intercooler pipe), and Greddy BOV.
The first problem I am having is the car feels like it wants to stall when I coast to a light or stop sign, or am in traffic. It never stalled till tonight. I tried to single spring mod with the BOV and it didn't feel like it was holding boost, so I put both springs back in...this stalling issue is not really bothering me too much...
Next on to boost...
I set the low boost on 18 lbs. and it varies from 16 to 18 lbs depending on the day, which makes me kind of mad. On the low boost setting it just didn't feel very strong. So tonight I started to play with the high boost. I set it on 20 lbs and the temp outside was about 45-50 degrees. It felt really good here. Came home and then went out again later. It is now about 40 degrees outside and I started to get into it. The boost went up to 22lbs and held until the car started to feel like a power cut...it just cut out like 2 times(not stall) and I turned the boost down again to about 19 lbs on high boost. This really scared me...I don't know if the engine sensed knock and cut or what. Car is fine but I don't want anything bad to happen...
So...tonight I talked with a guy who just had utec tuned on his car..he loves it but said the people who tuned it said it was leaning out because of the intake. I am not sure if this happens on everyones car (he was running a base map from utec at the time), but I am new to this DSM stuff...
I don't really know what to do next so I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas of why my car cut out on only 22lbs, and what my next mods should be. Should I go back to stock intake???
At the moment I don't have any tuning, so that was what I was thinking of next, but just don't know what route will be best...
Every other car I have had I just do bolt ons and see improvement, but this car seems so touchy...

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post...

the car cut-out because of boost cut, the ecu basically cuts fuel to the engine when it detects an high amount of boost, it's like a fails safe device. there's absolutely nothing wrong with the car

Don't have any of these mods, but from what I understand a vent to air BOV with an aftermarket intake will usually have stalling issues sometimes more so than with the stock intake. An aftermarket intake distorts the MAF signal and can cause your car to run lean, some tuners can compensate for this. When it is cold (air is more dense) and the boost is too high you will get boost cut, that is why it happens at 22psi and not 19psi.

Thanks for the responses ...the BOV is recirculated...sorry didn't mention that before...SO...what should I do next???
I guess it could have been fuel cut, but maybe it retarded timing??? I don't know how the car could cut fuel when under WOT and not lean out and blow.
Car is fine now...I am just scared of it...

I would suggest getting some tuning and you should be fine.
I went with dynoflash, so that is my suggestion to you.

Oh yeah the recirculating of the BOV. is messing with the M.A.F because it has already registered the air the BOV throws off and it causes stalling. So in order to fix that U need to relocate the M.A.F. (stands for the mass air flow sensor". Honeycomb thing by the intake

The stalling is exactly was was mentioned above a combo of the intake and BOV. I recirculate a HKS SSQ and hve the same problem on occation. You may want to consider something like this from lancershop.com.

HKS Electronic Idle Stabilizer - Lancer Evolution VIII

The HKS Electronic Idle Stabilizer (EIDS) smooths the signal from the MAS when running blow-off valves that are vented to atmosphere (non-recirculation). This helps avoid rapid changes in metering that can cause idle stability issues.
Recommended for use on the US-Spec Evo 8 SSQV kit or any ...

Our price: $124.95

The factory boos cut out is set at 25psi your boost guage could be off.
