Check your ic hoses for leaks. Look near the throttle body area first and tighten the hose clamps. After that check rest of the ic pipes.

Many people have had their boost hoses pop off. Evo's boost around 19psi and can spike above that causing the hoses to just pop off or leak in your case. Just tighten the hose clamps and see if it that was the problem.

ok so i think i fixed it, one of the hoses was falling off!! (you were right) and i also checked all of the others and it seems to be fine, but now i only have a loss of power in 3rd at about 4500 rpm's! why is that, is it the same problem, or do i have a bigger problem??

You fixed the major leak, and probably still have some minor leaks. The minor leaks is probably what's causing the loss in power. You should probably have a mechanic check all the intercooler pipe connections for loose clamps and hoses. Or you can climb under your car, take off the undertray, and tighten all the lower ic pipe hoses.
