Cool **3" Exhaust systems**

Hello,

I wanted to get peoples opinions on these two turbo/back exhausts, the Perrin and the Buschur. I am wondering which of these two keeps the car closest to the stock sound, as far as loudness. I'm sure both give pretty much the same about of power gains.

Any input would be gladly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

My vote is neither. Perrin isn't my cup of tea, and Buschur, buy it only if you want to constantly keep going under the car to realign the entire exhaust. BS slip joints to save money on fabrication.

I'm of the opinion that Buschur has redone their 3" to remove slipjoints and that it is the most powerful option... no, I can't back that up with the specific references but you should go ask Buschur or do a search.

dryad001, always good to see someone voice an opinion who knows nothing, thank you for that.

First of, the slip joints have been eliminated in the trouble spots, which was the downpipe.

We now use a completely flanged downpipe and the offroad pipe/highflow cat is flanged. This aligns the complete system so installation is a breeze.

The slip joints were not designed to save money but to save weight and improve flow. We have been building slip fit exhaust system for over 10 years now for the DSM's and for some odd reason those cars never had any problems.

We offer the lighest weight stainless steel exhaust system on the market, 23 pounds for the entire system.

We are also running a sale right now with your choice of an offroad pipe or highflow cat and either muffler our loud lightweight muffler or the quiet Magnaflow option, all hardware and shipping included for only $750. Price will never be lower than this.

You can look around at anyone who has bought an exhaust from us in the last few months and find nothing but praise for ease of installation and fit.

Also, the highflow cat combined with the Magnaflow will give you an exhaust system that not only flows within a mere 9 whp of an offroad system with our light muffler but will also pass emmisions AND is QUIET-QUIET!

Thanks for the chance to promote.

I did have your exhaust on my car. All I can say if it wasn't for the slip joints it would have been fine, but the clamps never held a seal, and worked loose over time. I had this exhaust for appx. 8 months and it seemed every weekend I had to go under the car to re-tighten everything.

I guess I don't know anything. How can you come on here and accuse me of that? Bold, very bold. I have more than enough know-how to hook up an exhaust. The flaws in the design are the points I set out to make.

Impact gun or a strong arm I guess is what is needed. I have yet to see one of the band clamps come loose on a car we have done here. We use the impact on them most of the time on occasion we use just a 1/2" ratchet, nobody here is small, maybe we have enough grunt.

BTW, they call me Mr. Bold.
