Greddy type S

I'm convinced it sucks.
Here is my problem.
First off I do the single spring mod and I get compressor surge no matter how soft I set it.
So I decide to hook it up correctly with both springs and pre throttlebody boost pressure to the assist valve. (the little one that is angled down)
Well that takes care of some of the compressor surge but not all still get it when I lift atound 5k rpms part throttle 12-18 psi. Also I have some stalling issues when I push the clutch in during low rpms.(Happens when I hit about 0-1 psi and have to let off to stop a redlight.)
Anyone have any ideas?
I'm not VTA, I'm recir.
I'm ready to junk it or sell it if I can't fix it.
I spent the money and I want to get some use out of it.

Make sure your adapter is the right size. If it's too small you will def have problems.

Check for boost leaks, that could be your culprit.

I hear what you guys are saying about the boost leak, and will pressure test it. I don't think that is the issue though. The reason is that I didn't have the stalling issue I put the second spring back in. When I did I went ahead and teflon taped all the fittings. It also seems the stiffer I adjust the valve the worse the stalling issue gets.
Some more info I have the buschur UICP and modded the 1g flang to fit it. I triple checked everything and it's lined up ok. Plenty of air can get through.
Maybe I just got a bum type s.
A friend of mine has one so I may try his.

I just would like to get rid of the ringing sound at idle. I have had some of the same problems with surging nothing seems to work.

No problems with mine stalling either(single spring)... some 5th gear surge on the highway but I think some fine tuning will help that. Only happens when I ease off the gas though; if you let off quicker it seems to not have any problems

update.
I went back to using the single spring with the assist connected, and 4 full turns.
That solved my problems with stalling. I still have a little compressor surge though, not as much as before.
I'm convinced that greddy has no quality controll. Just about every one has a differnt story about how they got theirs to work.
This is not the only place i posted about this.
Either it's single spring with no assist, Both springs with the assist, or single spring with the assist. Everyone is differnt in how they set the adjustment screw.
Makes no sense other than greddy has no consistancy in their type S valve.

i havent had a problem, installed a couple of them. each time was a differnet setting, but i just played with them till they worked. stalling is VERY common with MAF cars. and can be solved simply by tightening the screw. but once tuned properly, they work very well!

So does the Greddy type S have that bird chirping noise? Can the sound be adjusted?

I was running 22lbs. on my Supra with the Type S and it blew the hex screw out the top. I had to re-thread the bov with Ti threads. I switched to the Type R BOV and never had a problem. I've ran 38lbs. on the Type R and never once had any issues.
