MBC equpped: 5th gear WOT sputter
i was at WOT in 5th gear with my AMS MBC set at 20psi and the car sputtered air frm what it sounded like, twice. i took it WOT for about 3 seconds, it started sputtering, so i let off, got back on it and sputtered again, then check engine came on. about 30min prior to this happening, i pulled over at a gas station and reseted my ECU cuz my CEL was on due to my test pipe, could this have been my test pipe doing somethin to my car? sounded like BOV but it only did it twice, threw a CEL and no more sputtering. im runnin HKS SSQ vta.
Are you sure your not getting the p0300 missfire code. Because it sounds like you are.

I would suggest the P0300 code but that only happens at very light throttle in 5th and you said you were WOT...

no, it didnt feel like my engine shut off, it was like a small small jerk, like the car paused for a second, but it didnt feel like my engine was shutting of or anything for sure. could be p0300, cuz the engine check light came on after, cuz i floored it, it was sputtering(air maybe)?, so i let off, then wot again, sputtered again. then CEL. and i jsut continued to drive on my road trip. so the best way of going about fixing this would be ECU flash correct

same thing has happened to me, except I didn't get a check engine light, I don't have a test pipe though. I would recommend installing a Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump so your injectors can deliver enough fuel at WOT and High boost.
what makes the fuel cutoff occur? maybe there is a possible leak? i just took off my hks rs intake and am using the stock airbox with a dejontool intake pipe, and my car is doing the same thing when im on the freeway and im approaching redline, around 5500-6000 rpms.
Check your intercooler hoses, same sorta thing happend to me, in 5th gear, at WOT... one of the hoses was loose, and eventually came ALL the way loose... but maybe it's not that... Boost likes to blow the cheap stock clamps and hoses off easy
check your boost when you get the fuel cut in 5th, its most likely over 20psi...
If you dont have a tune you have to turn the MBC down if you want to go WOT in 5th.
When I had minimal mods including an MBC and no tune I had the boost set to go max. it could without fuel cut in 1-4 gear, in 5th WOT I would get fuel cut. but awd topend isnt great so I went with more power in the lower gears.
