Hope you get a big turbo because those are way out of the efficiency range of the stock turbo or even a mild replacement.

I really need to know more about this /\

I was waiting to see how these cams performed... if I had not gotten the HKS 272 set for $300, I would have gone this direction myself.

Yep plus 280 will certainly see gains over the stock cams. however, even 272s are pushing out of the stock turbo's efficiency range. I didn't say they won't work at all, just that the are not ideal at all.

GSC is not planing 280 cams at the moment. We are working on the VQ35 Motor right now and should have the VQ cams out late june for those guys, hopefully.

the Reason why we are not coming out with 280 cams is that most of the evo's are on stock turbos or if they are upgraded it is only slightly. From what we have seen most evo owners enjoy driving their car around turns on the street and at the track. ie well rounded cars, The 272/272 is our drag setup and will deffinatly be apart of a 9 sec evo this year. Hell I would love to see Dan and tracy take the evo to that level because I know they can.

The 264/264 is a great setup for the street and auto cross. The 272/264 is our drag, street, road track setup and the 272/272 is the killer for now.

Oh yeah forgot to mension we will have Ti retailers and springs in, in the next month for the evo. and some nice and pretty 5 bolt gunmetal cam gears and fuel rail. on the hush a few exhaust options and a nice IC with Air intake.

Best Regards and enjoy your saturdays! and cody get to the damn dyno!

I have not found it necessary. There is more idle than a 264 setup but it is not as bad as a 272 setup. I would leave it to personal preference.

evotexas, any way you can post a recording of your idle? Since personal preferences will vary.

I've got the 264/264 on their way to be installed and dyno'd this weekend...hoping for a nice little gain over the stock set-up I have now.

So 264+264 is bump on power

272+264 is more power but tad worse on idle

272+272 will need cam gears work it all out.

A friend of mine had the 272+264 setup and it had a nice mis sound to the idle, but no probs at all. Also is any head work needed for higher than 264's?

I hope i dident sound dumb, but its late. thanks fellas and nice numbers.

Hey turboex,

Was you tuned at topspeed by Al awhile back? If so did you have a friend with some video
footage of me driving.
