That picture they show is NOT the actual EVO exhaust. Your IP should be completely straight.

Even though I partly fixed mine, its STILL to close to the left! But thats what we get for purchasing a cheap exhaust. Greddy, Apexi, HKS is $550-800 for a reason. Helix is 400 for a reason. This is why.

Its a problem with the hangers. When looking at the rear of the car, the first hanger on the left hand side of the exhaust, bend it to the LEFT and DOWN enough, and it will push the exhaust away and right into the center. I had this problem and this was the quickest, easiest fix and has lasted for months without any issues. Great exhaust, sounds better than all of them out there...

had the same problems....exhaust was bent to the left. Melted right throught the fender. B/c i got this with my Stage 1+ at Vishnu, they are going to replace it free of charge. In the menatime, the guys at Tuning Tech was able to reweld the hangers so that it fit dead center. Wonder if Helix knows anything about this. Calvin?

Mine also did the same. What I did is, with a friend pushing the canister to the passenger side of the car, i turned the strap mount as far counter clockwise as i could to push the canister away then tightened down. Its held up pretty well that way thus far and stayed away from the bumper.

I had a natural solution today. A lady swiped the back of my car trying to go around me and pulled my exhaust over to the right side now. Now its a little close to the right but whatever. The tip is all messed up and the piping is now cramped. I might just order a new exhaust.

Gruppe-S, any approximation on the arrival for the Helix Titanium? If its anytime soon Ill just wait and get that. Also, since you talk to Helix, tell them to take a production model of the exhaust and make sure it fits on the car this time! Thanks!

Hi guys,

First off I want to apologize to those of you that are having a problems with your Helix exhaust system. We have sent back two problem exhaust systems to Helix for examination, and apparently there was a problem with the CNC mandrel bender. In their estimation there are less than 25 of these exhaust systems that are exhibiting this type of problem. That being said as US distributors of the Helix line, we want to offer our customers a resolution to the problem. We are proposing the following remedies:

1. 100% Full refund - You may send back the exhaust system at our expense, and we will reimburse you for 100% of the value of the exhaust. If you have purchased this exhaust system from one of our dealers and want to return it, please contact them directly to have your exhaust system refunded. If your dealer is unaware of the problem, please have them contact us.

2. Reimbursement for adjustment - If you choose to have a muffler shop slightly modify the exhaust system (it's only about 1/2" off) for you, then we will pick up up to $100 of the tab (it should only be a $40-60 job). If you choose to follow this route, please contact us in regards to how to obtain your refund.

3. Replacement exhaust system - We will offer a replacement exhaust for any customer who is in need of a replacement exhaust. Our next batch should be available in 3-4 weeks (as we have sent back the current back for inspection).

Please contact me for any warranty or questions you may have regarding this issue. Once again, I'm very sorry for the inconveniences this may have caused. Please forward any questions to me.

Thanks,

Gary

Thats pretty awesome of you. But can I still be helped even though my car was in an accident? Alls I want is a replacement rear section of the exhaust (muffler section). Mine did not fit when I bought it, and now its F'd up from the accident, but overall, it was still defective when I bought it.

Tom

which issue is being resolved by Helix? the downpipes not fitting the 05s or the muffler sitting slightly off to the left?

I find it hard to believe that only *25* Helix catbacks swing to the left...every picture I've seen has it sitting off to the left, and my friend who bought one nearly 6 months ago has the same problem....I doubt it's the same batch as Soon2beEvos.
