So it seems many more people than 25 are afflicted with this problem. Will you be honoring this warranty on all Helix catbacks? It seems all of them have the problem.

Fender melt should be covered

Gruppe-S,

I bought my Helix through Vishnu (purchased Stage 1+ v390 package) and David/Shiv were gracious enough to reimburse me a new rear fender for the trouble I went through . They will cover for shipping and handling and also labor for when it will be installed at Huntington Beach Mitsubishi. That is what I call customer service.

Calvin, Gary if you were really customer service friendly, you would replace the fenders of those who had fender melt like I did. We purchased Helix products and because of manufacturer defects our fenders are damaged. I know many others who have had the same thing happen to them.

I doubt anyone here is bringing fraudulent clains against Gruppe-s/Helix, just wanting their car as it should have been. I know a lot of people will be watching this thread. Will you step up to the plate to this or will you leave angry customers hanging?

Hi guys,

Yup, we'll take everyone on a case by case basis for warranty replacement. There should be less than 25pcs there, but of course if there are more, we will definately warranty them also. Please send me an e-mail. Thanks!

Evoisdream,

I suggest you refrain from making blanket statements about Helix exhaust owners. Bottom line is that the EvoM community has uncovered a manufacturer's defect. We should all be thankful for that. Cal and Gary have already admitted the CNC mandrels are the issue. Are you suggesting that because waited this long and complain that we have no recourse against Helix and Gruppe-S? What are you exactly suggesting? Do we all have to post pics of our exhaust to prove that to you? I'm not trying to start a flame war but I am confused that you would think we EvoM members would somehow come out of the woodwork and claim "bad exhaust". FWIW, I noticed my exhaust fitment issues immediately after install.

In the end, I do not have to lay one finger on my exhaust and do anything with it if the fault lies with Helix. I'm sure everyone would agree to this. Good customer service dictates that parts and labor are the responsibility of Helix. For some like myself, the rear bumper is melted and I am still waiting how Gruppe-S will respond. If they won't cover it, then the EvoM community has the right to know this and take their business elsewhere. Once again, I believe Gruppe-S should do this if they truly respect and consider the EvoM community. If not, they will have a ticking timebomb on their hands.

i was only saying that previously stated in the thread that people had fixed the problem by doing very few things and free things....

i just dont c a reason to take it to a shop pay 70$ and take money from gruppe-s when u can do it for free (possibly) if people take money from a vendor its like eliminating the vendor and i know i dont want to lose them....

just think people should use this as a last resort maybe its just me but o well sorry if it came out wrong

Hey gruppe- S I bought my Turbo back from you guys and the downpipe rattled and the exhaust melted the inner bumper. I had my exhaust guy "heat" up the pipe and bend it into a spot where it corrected the problem like I think evoisdream suggested, my question is that is this "heat up" going to effect the lifespan of the pipes?

I agree with EvoisDream , Just correct the problems yourselves guys its cheap and easy and you now will own one of the nicest free flowing exhausts with no rattles nor melted bumpers , good luck

i had an exhaust shop heat up the pipe, and bang the **** out of the hangers. It still doesn't sit far enough from the left side of the bumper to put a carbon fiber heat shield. Even if they do bang the hanger to fit correctly its starts hitting the side of the gas tank. Looks like ima need urethane hangers too.
