Best intake kit?

Right now I have the K&N drop in. I'm looking for something relaible but better than the box.

What are you using? Why that one? Did you have to change any thing out of the box to make it work right? Any idle or stalling problems? This is my daily driver so I dont want to have to mess with it every day just to get it to work.

I just put some random ones up there, except the BR. Right now thats what i'm leanin towards. I haven't really read a lot on the intakes.

So if its not on the poll list then tell why you chose it!

Personally I would stick with the stock box and the K&N.

A lot of the intakes cause turbulence inside the intake causing erratic a/f readings. So a lot of guys like vishnu stick with the stock box and maybe a drop in. You'll want a tune after you get an intake. Theres a thread somewhere talking about the hks kit and the a/f readings they got from using it.
A bunch of people on this site say that the k&n is a piece and you lose power from it but don't take my word for it.

I first installed AEM Short Ram and had nothing but problems. Installing it I had to modify almost every part to get it to fit together, I don't think AEM every tried fitting all the parts together. Then came all the idleing and stalling problems, so I threw it on Ebay and then bought the HKS RS kit. The HKS RS was easy to install(it all fit together), and I haven't had any idleing or stalling problems and I've had it installed for about 8 months or so. HKS looks and sounds great .

There is no need to waste money on an intake at this time. If you havent already done so there are many other mods in the same price range that would give you much more performance.

HKS RS Intake. Install is a breeze, the sound is just sick, and I know it made some power. (15whp)
