Stupid Question...
Okay, today I switched out my stock fuel pump with the Walbro fuel pump. It was a little more difficult to do than I thought especially since I'm no master mechanic and this definitely proves it.
As I was putting everything back I was tightening the bolts down to the pump assembly. Well I tightened one of the bolts down way too tight and it snapped completely off.
My stupid question is this. Do I need to be concerned about this or will the remaining bolts (I think there is 5) secure it enough to keep a good seal?
Thanks for you response.

.....leave it to NWE to do this.....i dont think its really a vacume seal ther...u should be fine w/ the 5 others...all that does is keep the fuel pump steady. if ur really worried get some RTB gasket maker and seal it shut....

I think you're ok for the time being, but I'd get it fixed as well. Little things like that add up, and next thing you know you'll have some odd problem due to a simple install problem that nobody thought of. I'd fix it in the near future, but not worry to much about it.

How is that bolt in there anyway? I know the nut scews right on top of it but the bolt itself, is it welded on or something?

. Personally, I would definately do it right and fix it. If your car was a beater Honda Civic or something I would say don't worry about it.
